Milan, March 15, 2007 - Olivetti, the Telecom Italia Group Company active in the information & communications technology sector, has chosen the CeBIT 2007 fair in Hannover as the venue for the worldwide debut of its new "Linea" series, the first range of multifunction ink-jet printers for the Small Office Home Office (SOHO) market, exclusively designed by international designer Jasper Morrison.
Developed in Olivetti's advanced research centre in Arnad, in the Aosta Valley, the new Linea printers with proprietary ink-jet technology use special high-tech cartridges with a larger number of nozzles to deliver faster performance and excellent printing definition and quality. Intended for SOHO professionals, the new Linea printers are available in the Linea Office, Linea Office wi-fi and Linea Photo versions. All the models feature Olivetti technology and an exclusive design by Jasper Morrison and meet the needs of the most demanding consumer customers.
The Linea Office and the Linea Office wi-fi offer print, copy, scan and fax functions and are equipped with a 35-sheet automatic feed to optimise copying and faxing. The Linea Office wi-fi provides Ethernet for network printing and Wi-fi connections, giving small offices access to competitively priced advanced connection capabilities. This model also boosts printing speeds, 31 pages per minute for b/w jobs and 28 pages per minute in colour. The Linea Photo model, intended specifically for consumer photo printing needs, offers print, scan and copy functions, together with a PictBridge interface-for photo printing without a PC connection-a memory card reader and a 2.4" LCD. Compact design and ease of use, based on one key/one function commands, are key features of the new Linea series.
At CeBIT, Olivetti is also showing its new Simple_Way printer range for the consumer market, the Simple_Way Photo multifunction photo printer. With a compact design by James Irvine and Alberto Meda, the Simple_Way Photo provides print, copy and scan functions, and prints at a speed of 24 pages per minute in b/w and 22 pages per minute in colour. Features on the new printer include a memory card reader, a 2.4" LCD and a PictBridge interface, as well as a Magic Button for automatic image quality enhancement.
The stage will be shared with the new Fax_Lab 145D, a plain-paper ink-jet fax for SOHO users, with a fixed telephone and cordless DECT. The Fax_Lab 145D offers high transmission speeds (up to 7 seconds per page), SMS text send, receive and print functions, a 30-page document memory and a 15-minute answerphone.

- MY_WAY plus
ANY_WAY photo wireless plus, destined for consumers, is the colour photographic printer that prints, copies, (even without a PC) and scans while offering integrated bluetooth and wi-fi technologies. Designed by James Irvine and Alberto Meda, the ANY_WAY photo wireless plus will be available in black. Images are viewed on a 2.4", 65,000-colour LCD. The printing speed has been increased: 24 pages per minute in monochrome, 22 pages per minute in colour, and only 75 seconds for a 10x15 photographic print. It can also enhance your images: even old photos gain their original brightness and clarity, as if they had just been taken, by using one-click user-friendly software. ANY_WAY photo wireless plus also offers a Magic Button: one touch and the printer itself analyses the photos and automatically decides how to improve the colour, lighting, and contrast.
MY_WAY plus is the portable photographic printer for the consumer market that can be used anywhere. It prints directly from a digital camera via a direct Pictbridge connection and from mobile phones via a wireless bluetooth connection. Power can be supplied either by batteries or an automobile cigarette lighter adapter. The stylish IDEO-signed design of the new MY_WAY plus is compact (220 x 162 x 90 mm) and lightweight (1.6 kg) and offers a resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi (up to 4800 dpi). The Plus version is equipped with a larger LCD for visualizing images: 2.4" and 65,000 colours. Image enhancement is no problem, thanks to easy-to-use software - or easier yet - by pushing the Magic Button.
